Jian Han
I am a visiting Ph.D student from Nanjing Forestry University, China. My supervisor in Lund University is Sang-Hyun Pyo.
My research area is mainly on lignocellulosic biomass conversion and utilization, especially for green biofuel and biochemicals. My current work focuses on the detoxification and purification of acidic lignocellulosic hydrolysate and the bioconversion of the sugars (mainly xylose) into a high value-added platform compound, xylonic acid, with Gluconobacter oxydans as the core catalyst. The basis of the application of xylonic acid in cement water reducing agents was also investigated.
